Orpa Hunting Safaris invites you to experience a hunting safari in magnificent Namibia, for an unforgettable hunting expectation.

 

Take only few clients per hunting season starting the 1st February and stop 30th November to ensure that clients receive only the best service and attention, while ensuring that the highest quality trophies will be hunted.

Recommendation:     Best hunting times are during the drier months of the year, namely middle April, May, June, July, August, September, October and November.

All hunting will take place in a MALARIA FREE ZONE.

Hunting area and location …

Orpa are situated 360km (224 miles) a three and half hours drive from Windhoek, 20 km ( 12 miles) north of the Waterberg Game Reserve and is located in the 250 000 ha (617750 acres) Ngarangombe concervancy. (Ngarangombe is a local tribe name for Eland)  

This area is the habitat of the biggest free roaming Eland population in Southern Africa.

The main hunting areas are NOT game fenced, that allowing Orpa to offer some of the best free range African plains trophy hunting.

The nearest town is Otjiwarongo 100 km ( 62 miles) away.

Orpa covers 5400 ha (13343 acres) of the hunting area. (no high fences on Orpa and concervancy) The hunting area covers round about 41 000 ha. (101311 acres).

In addition to excellent Eland trophy hunting that Orpa Hunting Safaris can offers , the brushy terrain in the hunting areas provide excellent habitat for Kudu, Oryx, Hartebeest, Springbok, Steenbok, Duiker, Warthog, Blesbok, Giraffe,  Black Wildebeest, Blue Wildebeest, Zebra (Burchell’s), Zebra (Mountain), Impala,

Damara Dik-Dik, Klipspringer, Waterbuck, Jackal, Baboons, Leopard, Cheetah and quite a variety of hunt able birds.

 

Game like Waterbuck and Impala will be hunted in a high fenced area. (10 000ha)
