Orpa Hunting Safaris has three hunting areas that include free range concessions of 41 000 hectares (101 000 acres) and fenced in game concession that is 7000 hectares (17000 acres) to give hunters the opportunity to do different hunting methods in Namibia. You can expect different terrains including mountains, bush land and open savannahs.
The areas are never over-hunted. That makes it possible for you to take good trophies. Orpa is situated 360km (224 miles) a three and a half hours drive from Windhoek, 20 km (12 miles) north of the Waterberg Game Reserve and is located in the 250 000 hectares (617750 acres) conservancy.
Orpa Hunting Ranch has been owned by the Smit family for two generations and my son Dirk is joining the business too from this year. Your hosts and outfitter while you hunt in Namibia are Dirk and Thea Smit. We have three children, Janel, Francoisand Dirk and a daughter in-law Engela. We truly want your African hunting safari to be an unforgettable hunting experience in Namibia. PH will be Dirk Smit, my son (Dirk) or neighbours with PH licenses.
