FARM ACCOMODATION AND HUNT

Orpa is a game and cattle ranch, and in the rainy season we plant some corn.

Hunters will enjoy the warm family atmosphere of a real Namibian farm house.

Rooms are separate with own bathing facilities with hot and cold running water and meets the standards of the Namibian Nature Conservation.

Full electricity is provided. (220v)

An outdoor fireplace and patio provide a place to relax after a day of hunting.

Then a cold beer or soft drink tastes at its best.

 

The day starts off early with breakfast, followed with the daily hunt : drive with vehicle, walk and stalk, following tracks and sitting in heights at water holes. Lunch and dinner also served.

 

HUNTING AREA AND LOCATION...

Orpa is situated 360km from Windhoek, (three and half hours drive) 20 km north of the Waterberg Game Reserve. Orpa offers some of the best free roaming African plains trophy hunting.

The nearest town is Otjiwarongo, 100 km away. Most of the hunting takes place in the north part of Namibia. Exceptions can be made for hunting in the central part of the country.

Free roaming Mountain Zebra, Dammara Dik-Dik and Klipspringer are hunted in the north west of Namibia. Kudu, Gemsbok, Duiker, Steenbok and Giraffe is also available in that area.

Animals like Waterbuck and Impala are hunted in high fenced areas only.

 

Feel free to contact Orpa Hunting Safaris to give you a quotation for your hunting trip.  If interested in making a tour to any part of the country, it must be arranged well in advance.

This is to enable the tour guide to make reservations at the rest camps etc.

 

Fishing trips can also be arranged.

Take only few clients per hunting season starting the 1st February and stop 30th November to ensure that clients receive only the best service and attention, while ensuring that the highest quality trophies will be hunted.
